C. Kane is a satirical short form (2-3 hours) turn-based RPG originally released in September 2013 that streamlines the genre to its basics; fighting monsters, talking to people, playing dress up. Dungeons are minimalist, graphics are monochrome. Random battles are no more, bosses are numerous. A Shark guides the way. An original hip hop soundtrack provides the beats.

Warning: Contains rude language, mild monochrome blood, and ugly monsters.

I remember when the "gaming hasn't had its citizen kane" idea was more broadly in circulation and this game amused me to no end that it finally provided the gaming art its "citizen kane". Nowadays I like to enthusiastically tell people about both these things and they recognize neither that blurb or this game, but seem to understand that I think it is Very Funny.
